Nestled off Lansell Avenue in Officer and just a short 10-minute drive from Banyan Place, Officer District Park spans an impressive 10 hectares and is already becoming a vibrant hub for recreation, relaxation, and connection for Cardinia residents and visitors to the shire.
A New Chapter for the Community
The grand opening of Officer District Park brings with it a wealth of opportunities for the local community to enjoy the thoughtfully designed spaces and state-of-the-art amenities. This park is set to become a beloved feature of the Officer community for Banyan Place residents.
Here’s a reminder of the park’s standout features:
- Parks for Teenagers and Toddlers: The park’s signature feature is an impressive set of two 20m-long embankment slides that boast a unique multi-level playground in Officer for visitors to experience. This is one element of many diverse play zones suitable for everyone, from toddlers to teens and beyond.
- Cardinia’s First Parkour Zone: Melbourne Parkourists’ Officer District Park has a new course for you! Energise your day with this purpose-built parkour area featuring unique obstacles to challenge users of all abilities.

In Progress – Under Construction
The unique two-level restroom facility is currently under construction. This innovative design will cater to the split-level layout of the playspaces, ensuring convenient access for all visitors. Meanwhile, landscaping efforts are well underway, with the majority of planting now complete. Plants and lawn areas are starting to establish, adding vibrant greenery to the park’s landscape.
Works to Come – Stage 2 Planning: Officer Skate Park Design
Officer District Park will also be home to a new Skate Park. Council has partnered with Convic, the skate park design experts, to design and develop the new Regional Skate Park at Officer District Park.
